How long do I have access to the courses?
Your access never expires. Once you enroll in a course or bundle, you have 24/7 access for as long as you need it — whether you're studying actively or just doing a refresher before your exam window opens.
What is the ARM exam format?
Each ARM exam consists of 50 questions with a 65-minute time limit, administered online via virtual proctoring. A score of 70% or better is required to pass. Test windows open four times per year. Registering before the window opens typically earns an early-bird discount through The Institutes.
Is the ARM to CPCU pathway easier than the traditional CPCU path?
The ARM courses are comparable in difficulty to the CPCU courses they replace. However, completing the ARM first gives you a strong risk management foundation that makes the CPCU's commercial lines content more intuitive. Many candidates find this pathway more satisfying because the ARM knowledge is immediately applicable to their careers.
What if I already have my ARM designation?
The CPCU Bundle ($359) covers all five CPCU Commercial Lines courses — AIC 300, CPCU 530, 540, 551, and 552. You don't need the ARM courses if you've already passed those exams. The full pathway bundle is for candidates starting from scratch.
