The Institutes "NEW" ARM Courses

If you are pursuing your ARM and have an email registered with The Institutes, you should have received an email notifying you of the “NEW” ARM courses and that the current courses/exams will be expiring on Sept 15, 2026. This is the first update of the ARM courses in over five years, so not too unexpected; however, this is a complete overhaul of the courses, and they provided only one testing window to complete the expiring courses (in the past, they provided two testing windows to complete).

For many of you, this has created some additional stress, and I want to assure all RMSG students that I will be updating my material as quickly as possible, and your access to both the old and new material does not expire…and there is no additional charge for the updates.

Here is a brief FAQ, based on what I know about the courses and the update:

How long are the expiring course materials good for?
If you are using the expiring course materials, you need to test by Sept 15, 2026…the end of the next testing window. Here is the link to purchase ARM Expiring Exams I The Institutes

I just purchased an expiring ARM course from The Institutes and wasn’t planning on testing this window?
If you recently purchased material from The Institutes (recently meaning in the last month), they may provide you with the NEW ARM course at no additional charge if you have not accessed it or have minimal access. Each request will be reviewed on a case by case basis and they will review how much you have accessed. You will need to call The Institutes at 800-644-2101 to make a request.

What is different about the NEW ARM courses?
---For the most part, most of the material is the same, but has been reorganized into a different course number. For example, all of the insurance information in the expiring ARM 402, has been moved to a chapter in the NEW ARM 400. The NEW ARM 401 has the most “new material” focused on technology and AI. There are too many changes to map them.

---The material has been consolidated into fewer chapters for ARM 400 and 401. ARM 402 is still nine chapters.

---The NEW ARM courses are ONLINE ONLY, The Institutes is not publishing a textbook.

When will RMSG have the NEW ARM courses available?
The goal is to have all three of the NEW courses available on-demand by the start of the Oct 15th, the start of the fall testing window. I will also host the new Live ARM 400 course for that testing window. As there will not be an Institute textbook available, my goal is to create an additional printed study guide for each course, too.

I purchased an ARM Course/Bundle already from RMSG, will I have to pay again for the updated course?
No, what makes RMSG different is that your course access never expires and any updates are included.

Should I try to complete all of my tests in this window?
I would try to test on what you can in this testing window, especially if you purchased the expiring material from The Institutes. All of RMSG material is good for this exam window.
